OopBuy Return and Exchange Policy: What to Expect
Understanding seller return windows, exchange workflows, and your recourse when an item arrives wrong.
Seller Return Windows
Most OopBuy sellers offer a 24–72 hour window after QC photos to request an exchange. Once the item ships, returns become expensive because the item must cross borders again. Some sellers refuse post-shipping returns entirely. Read the seller's policy in the spreadsheet row or ask before ordering.
Exchange Workflow
If you catch a flaw in QC photos, message the seller with a clear description and reference photo. Most sellers prefer to exchange for the correct item rather than refund, since refunds require payment processor coordination. Document the flaw with a screenshot and your requested resolution.
When Refunds Are Possible
Refunds are most likely when the item is out of stock after payment, the seller sends the completely wrong item, or the item arrives damaged in transit. For out-of-stock situations, most sellers refund within 48 hours. For damage claims, provide photos of the packaging and the damaged item within 24 hours of receipt.
Dispute and Community Mediation
If a seller refuses a reasonable refund or exchange, document everything and escalate through your payment provider. For PayPal, open a dispute within 180 days. For other methods, check their dispute window. Community Discord channels sometimes offer informal mediation — experienced members can help you frame your case.
